Hobby Lobby recalls baskets

Hobby Lobby Stores has recalled about 10,000 Halloween-themed baskets with emblems that have been painted with excess levels of lead, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission released Friday.

A person at the Hobby Lobby in Salina, 2450 S. Ninth, declined comment.

The baskets, made in China, were sold at Hobby Lobby stores nationwide from August through November, for about a dollar.

Hobby Lobby's Web site recommended that buyers of the baskets keep them away from children and return them to the nearest Hobby Lobby store. They will receive $2 exchange card for every basket.

Scotland 'needs heavier sentences' to deter growth of cannabis factories

THE country's senior judge warned yesterday of heavier sentences in Scotland than in England to try to curb the boom in cannabis factories north of the Border.

Lord Hamilton, the Lord Justice- General, said even those who play a relatively minor role in the cultivation of large quantities of cannabis plants should expect jail terms of four or five years.

Operation 40 Days Of Prayer Ends Successfully

ORLANDO, Fla. -- A special operation to fight back against crime in orlando, ended successfully today and now police plan to do it in other cities.

Today citizens and police gathered to celebrate and pray at Parramore's New Heritage Park for the last day of the 40 day initiative called "Operation Armor All."

Every night a different church held a prayer vigil against crime.

Police say there are no hard numbers to show the praying worked but they know it made a difference. Church members say there is a noticeable difference in the atmosphere in the area.

Originally 22 churches joined the operation, but by the end more than 70 organizations joined the initiative. .


Red Devils get past Royals in Class 3A playoffs, 26-21
